Sean Henneberger has joined First State Bank’s small-business lending division as vice president/business development officer in the Memphis market. In his new role, Henneberger will help small businesses pursue loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration and U.S. Department of Agriculture Business and Industry Guaranteed Loan Program.

Ally Guscette has been promoted to sales representative at Germantown-based brand-marketing firm P.O.P. Solutions Group LLC. In her new role, Guscette will help businesses develop brand awareness through promotional products, press kits, print materials and point-of-purchase displays. She joined the company in 2011 as part of a sales team and begins Germantown Leadership training this month.

Kenneth M. Peterson has been appointed director of purchasing for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Previously, Peterson was a career employee of the U.S. government, and formerly served as director of the National Acquisition Center for the Customs and Border Patrol Protection Service in the Department of Homeland Security.

Thomason has been with UTHSC since 1990. He was appointed chair of the curriculum committee for the College of Graduate Health Sciences in 2005.
