14. Unified Moves To East Pointe Biz Center -

An independent forensic engineering and investigations company has relocated its Mid-South Service Center to a more secure location.

Unified Investigations & Sciences Inc. has inked 8,565 square feet in East Pointe Business Center Building D, 3875 Vantech Drive. The Suwanee, Ga.-based tenant was previously located at 3955 Whitebrook Drive, where it serviced Arkansas, North Mississippi and West Tennessee.

15. ULI Event To Tackle CRE Outlook -

Most commercial real estate markets have stabilized, but improvement in occupancies and rents won’t be as certain in 2012.

That’s the message real estate professionals will receive Tuesday, Dec. 6, when the Urban Land Institute District Council Memphis hosts its fifth annual Real Estate Outlook for the Mid-South at the Holiday Inn University of Memphis’ Tennessee Ballroom, 3700 Central Ave.

16. Boyle Fund Buys Alabama Retail Center -

Midsouth Capital Fund I LLC – a fund formed by Memphis-based Boyle Investment Co. in late 2010 – has made its first acquisition in central Alabama with the $13.4 million purchase of Riverchase Village shopping center in Birmingham from Phillips Edison.

Upon graduating from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and real estate, he moved back to Memphis and landed his first job at Boyle Investment Co. Little did he know that it would turn into a lifelong career.

20. Boyle Investment Co. Forms Real Estate Investment Fund -

Boyle Investment Co. has announced the formation of Midsouth Capital Fund I LLC, which is targeting $80 million in real estate investment opportunities throughout the Mid-south region, with a special focus on Memphis and Nashville. Additional markets include Kentucky, north and central Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas.

BRIDGES Inc. showed out-of-work people how to create their own jobs with the help of successful small-business owners Wednesday when the nonprofit organization hosted a conference on entrepreneurship.
