16. Foreclosed Apartments Find New Owner -

The bank that bought the Whitney Manor and Frayser Manor apartment complexes in Frayser out of foreclosure has sold the properties to a Connecticut-based entity called Group 40 LLC. The $2.2 million sale closed in late July.

17. Multifamily Market Dominated By Foreclosure Sales -

Apartment complexes can be found throughout Memphis, but lately it seems the center of the multifamily world is on the courthouse steps Downtown.

Foreclosure sales have dominated the industry’s activity in Shelby County of late, with the most lucrative deals occurring as trustees’ deeds after the original owner defaults on a property or as bank sales after the lender reclaims and resells the property.

19. Frayser Apartments Sold Back to Bank -

The Whitney Manor and Frayser Manor apartment complexes in Frayser have been sold back to the bank that owned the note on them, Madison Realty Capital LP, for a combined $1.2 million following a foreclosure. Whitney Frayser Manor Memphis LLC, a local entity related to the lender, bought the properties April 6 from successor trustee Charles S. Sanger on the courthouse steps.

20. Frayser Apartments Face Foreclosure Sale -

The owner of the Whitney Manor and Frayser Manor apartment complexes in Frayser has been foreclosed, and both properties will be sold on the courthouse steps April 6, according to a notice on Page 39 of today’s print edition of The Daily News, and also at The Daily News Online, www.memphisdailynews.com.

22. Christensen Named to Top Posts At Leading Medical Facilities -

Michael L. Christensen has been appointed the Stevens Professor in Pediatric Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy. Christensen also has assumed the directorship of the Pharmaceutical Department of Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center, as well as the directorship of the Pediatric Clinical Research Unit at the Children's Foundation Research Center. He is a pediatric clinical pharmacist with expertise in clinical pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, pediatric therapeutics and pediatric clinical trials. The new Stevens professorship was established and funded by Mr. and Mrs. David Stevens.
