1. Lawmakers Still Seek Answers as Outsourcing Contract Gets Underway -

A majority of Tennessee’s legislators, including several Shelby County lawmakers, are asking the state to hold up on a facilities management outsourcing contract with Jones Lang LaSalle.

Seventy-five of the General Assembly’s 132 members, 17 in the Senate and 58 in the House, have signed a letter to Terry Cowles, director of the Office of Customer Focused Government, asking the office to slow down on outsourcing so it can “study and understand the effect” on public services, the economy and state employees.

2. Mobile-Home Properties Sell for $9.7M -

Three mobile-home communities have sold for $9.7 million.

Memphis Communities LLC, a company of Market Street Capital, purchased the multifamily properties from Moore Communities in an Aug. 9 warranty deed. The properties include the Pecan Circle Mobile Home Community, at 4340 Raleigh Millington Road in Frayser; Redwood Estates Mobile Home Community, at 1640 Via Roma Drive in Frayser; and Shady Oaks Mobile Home Community, at 7860 Raleigh Millington Road in Millington.

4. McLean-Union Walgreens Sold for $5.2 Million -

A Midtown Walgreens changed hands for $5.2 million, according to an Oct. 9 warranty deed. Tennessee-based RMRTN LLC sold the pharmacy at 1863 Union Ave., on the southeast corner of McLean Boulevard, to Delaware-based Pharmacy Portfolio VIII DST.

Memphis-based Wendy's franchisee Gene Carlisle, an old friend of Wendy's late founder Dave Thomas, is thinking about making a bid for the hamburger chain.

He also has some important ideas for whomever makes good on a buyout offer for the iconic U.S. restaurant brand, such as what priorities immediately would face a new owner of the company.

10. One Commerce Square Sale Tied Up In Court Dispute -

The parties involved in a proposed sale of Downtown's One Commerce Square building for nearly $31 million, a deal that fell apart back in March, are still haggling in court over part of the transaction.
