Big River Crossing’s Visibility Stirs Interest -

From Martyrs Park on the Memphis bluff, you can see the Big River Crossing on the north side of the Harahan Bridge taking shape 120 to 180 feet at a time.
The first 900 feet of the 2,000-foot long pedestrian and bicycle boardwalk over the Mississippi River is drawing the attention of those walking through the park as well as those watching via an online camera atop the nearby Artesian Metropolitan Residences.

A webcam is giving the public a live view of construction of Big River Crossing, the pedestrian and bicycle boardwalk on the northern side of the Harahan Bridge across the Mississippi River.
The webcam is filming from atop the Artesian Metropolitan Residences condo building, 717 Riverside Drive. Visit allworldpm.com and click the “live video” tab at the top of the page to view the online feed. The camera has been recording since June 22, and a slider beneath the picture frame shows past progress.

Work Begins on Big River Crossing -

Work began Monday, Nov. 10, on the Harahan Bridge boardwalk in a Downtown conference room as the contractor on the $17.5 million project, OCCI Inc. of Fulton, Mo., met with city leaders and explained the construction plan to come for what is now called the “Big River Crossing.”
