WASHINGTON (AP) – Jane Fonda, Richard Simmons and Ruth Bader Ginsburg? The 84-year-old Supreme Court justice is about to join the ranks of workout superstars with a book about her exercise routine. "The RBG Workout: How She Stays Strong ... and You Can Too!" is scheduled to be released Oct. 3, which happens to be the first week the court is in session after its summer break.

2. Houghton Mifflin Expects to Raise as Much as $292 Million -

BOSTON (AP) – Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Co. said Friday that it plans to sell 18.25 million shares in its company for $14 to $16 per share in its initial public offering. At the high end of that range, the educational publisher would raise $292 million.

NASHVILLE (AP) – Gov. Bill Haslam stressed the themes of transparency, responsiveness and humility at his first full Cabinet meeting Wednesday even as he defended a decision to scrap financial disclosure rules for himself and other top officials.

4. MCS to Use Programs By Houghton Mifflin -

Memphis City Schools and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt announced this week the two will partner for the school system’s pre-K through third-grade Learning Continuum by adopting two of HMH’s reading programs, “Destination Reading” and “Bailey’s Book House.”
