1. Bohannon to Chair Junior Achievement Board -

Morgan Bohannon has been named chairman of the board of director of Junior Achievement of Memphis & the Mid-South Inc. Bohannon, the regional market manager for iHeartMedia, became engaged with Junior Achievement when iHeartMedia sponsored the “Broadcast Center” at JA BizTown in 2012. He joined the board soon thereafter and has been involved ever since.

2. Bible Joins Shea Moskovitz & McGhee -

Kirkland Bible has joined family law firm Shea Moskovitz & McGhee as an associate. In her new position, Bible will represent clients in a variety of family law matters, including divorce, post-divorce and child custody matters.

3. Grizzlies Promote Wexler to Business Operations President -

The Memphis Grizzlies have promoted Jason Wexler to president of business operations of the team and FedExForum.

The new position gives Wexler primary leadership responsibility for all aspects of the business, including ticket sales and service, arena operations, corporate partnerships, marketing communications and broadcast, community investment and general operations.

4. Methodist University Hospital Names Liebman New CEO -

Jeff Liebman has joined Methodist University Hospital as chief executive officer. In his new role, Liebman said, he will ensure the hospital continues to be a community resource providing the highest possible quality of care to the community while following the guidelines of the Methodist LeBonheur mission.

5. Jehl Stands Up For Those Unable to Defend Themselves -

Attorney Cameron Jehl has ventured out on his own, opening the Jehl Law Group PLLC at 60 S. Main St. in Downtown.

6. Bigger Joins TriMetis as Business Development Specialist -

Lauren Bigger has joined preclinical services company TriMetis, a subsidiary of Memphis Bioworks Foundation, as a business development specialist. In her new role, Bigger will work with the operations and scientific teams to drive new projects for the TriMetis specialized laboratory and manage the sales and protocol review processes.

7. Jeter Joins Accounting Firm Cannon Wright Blount -

Andrew Jeter has joined Cannon Wright Blount as director of assurance and accounting services.

8. Harris Shelton Attorneys Honored in SuperLawyers -

Five attorneys from Harris Shelton Hanover Walsh PLLC have been selected for inclusion in the 2009 edition of Mid-South SuperLawyers, and four attorneys have been named Rising Stars.

9. Three Memphis Firms Honored In 2010 Best Lawyers -

Three Memphis law firms have attorneys who have been honored in the 2010 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart PC had four attorneys from its Memphis office honored: Donna K. Fisher, Thomas L. Henderson, Charles V. Holmes and Frederick J. Lewis were named to the list as top lawyers in labor and employment law. All four previously have been recognized by Best Lawyers.

10. Influence 1 Foundation Names Hartsfield COO -

Felicia Hartsfield has been named chief operating officer of Influence 1 Foundation.

Hartsfield will oversee the continued stability and growth of the foundation’s fiscal, strategic, organizational and operational functions. Her duties also will include building and maintaining relationships with community leaders, as well as creating collaborations, which will enhance the foundation’s strategic model.

11. UT Medical Group Names Martin VP of Corporate Compliance -

Linda Martin has joined UT Medical Group Inc. as vice president of corporate compliance.

12. 100 S. Main to See Progress This Week -

The long development process and occasional setbacks that have come with filling what's been referred to as the giant hole on Main Street have taken several years to work through. But a new five-story mixed-use development is planned for the site - a project that was given the green light last year - and construction could begin as soon as early fall.

13. Frey Named Alpha Eta Society National President -

Dr. William R. Frey recently was selected as the national president of the Alpha Eta Society, the largest scholastic honor for allied health professionals. The organization has more than 60 chapters throughout the U.S.

14. Harris Shelton's Lapides Takes Helm of Tenn. Municipal Attorneys Association -

15. Parkway Picks Commercial Alliance -

Memphis-based Commercial Alliance Management LLC has been tapped to handle all new leases for a Downtown office portfolio that includes the Morgan Keegan Tower, Falls Building and Toyota Center.

Those buildings are owned by Jackson, Miss.-based Parkway Properties Inc., a real estate investment trust (REIT) that had contracted last fall with Trammell Crow Co. to lease the properties.

16. Ryder Puts Years of Know-How Into Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation -

Attorney John L. Ryder is a member of the well-known Memphis law firm of Harris Shelton Hanover Walsh PLLC. The firm formed in 2000 as the result of a merger between two longtime Memphis law firms: Harris, Shelton, Dunlap, Cobb & Ryder PLLC and Hanover, Walsh, Jalenak & Blair PLLC.

17. Gerard Appointed Administrator at Methodist Cancer Center -

Dr. Dava F. Gerard has been appointed administrator for the Methodist Healthcare Cancer Center. She previously was the founding vice president and chief operating officer of the Nevada Cancer Institute in Las Vegas.

18. Blair Appointed to State Supreme Court's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee -

Allen S. Blair has specialized in labor and employment law for most of his career.

As a member of Harris Shelton Hanover Walsh PLLC, he concentrates his practice on mediation and arbitration. The Tennessee Supreme Court recently appointed Blair to its Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee, which helps the high court administer its mediation program in all of Tennessee's state courts.
