The Memphis-based company has expanded its Houston distribution presence with an additional 212,000 square feet of chemical warehousing space in Pasadena. At a Wednesday, Nov. 18, meeting of the Memphis-Shelby County Economic Development Growth Engine, the board approved an eight-year abatement in property taxes for DunAn Precision Inc. The tax break amounts to a total savings of $2.1 million.

The once-every-eight-year August ballot features not only county races held every four years but judicial offices for terms of eight years, U.S. Senate primaries and primaries in the governor’s race.

Seedco is a national nonprofit whose mission statement since 1987 has been “to advance economic opportunity for people, businesses and communities in need.”

This is done, says Lisa Pote, senior vice president for Seedco’s Mid-South regional office, by working with individuals and businesses, and within the communities themselves, “to be a contribution to the communities that we’re in.” Seedco has been working within Shelby County since 2004, and has 30 employees.

Franchisee Akshar Mendenhall Inc., doing business as Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin Robbins, has signed a 2,700-square-foot lease at 5150 Poplar Ave. on the northwest corner of Poplar and Brookhaven Circle East. This will be his fifth store.

The Memphis office will be known as CBIZ MHM Thompson Dunavant. No layoffs or major changes will result from the acquisition.
