Dr. Tim Goldsmith, chief clinical officer at Youth Villages, had never been a guinea pig before, but now he is glad he was. Last year, Goldsmith became the first person in Tennessee to receive meniscus replacement surgery through his involvement with an ongoing clinical trial in Memphis for Active Implants’ NUsurface meniscus implant device.

3. Dream About to Become Reality at Youth Villages -

Earlier this week, Youth Villages CEO Patrick Lawler presided over the groundbreaking of a $22 million expansion at the Bartlett campus that will result in a 148,000-square-foot center designed to enhance the treatment of the community’s most at-risk and vulnerable youth.

Memphis Public Libraries in partnership with Levitt Shell will kick off the 5 Fridays of Jazz series with “Memphis Standard Time” (family night) on Friday, March 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Benjamin L.
