6. Collierville Eclectic Eye Celebrates Fifth Anniversary -

The Eclectic Eye will celebrate the five-year anniversary of its Collierville boutique Monday, July 18, through Friday, July 22.

The store, at 3670 S. Houston Levee Road, will kick off the celebration by offering in-store discounts, eyewear giveaways and a raffle for boutique and restaurant gift certificates.

7. Stephanie Nichols Named PRSA Professional of the Year -

The Memphis chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) honored Stephanie Wilson Nichols as its 2006 Professional of the Year during the 15th annual VOX Awards Gala. This is the second time Nichols has received the award. The first time was in 2000. She served as the VOX Awards committee chair this year, and in 2005 was the chapter president. She also assisted the VOX committee in 2005. Nichols has earned and maintained her PRSA Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) designation since 2000 and has been an active member of PRSA since 1993.

Collierville has seen a metamorphosis in the past decade, evolving from a sleepy small town to a blossoming bedroom community to a thriving, self-sustaining suburb that continues to attract new businesses in droves.
