A group of food professionals is working toward supplying restaurants with local produce while improving the health of Memphians and fighting urban blight.
Green Girl Produce plans to leverage technology to create the city’s first indoor vertical farm, providing the community with cost-effective, year-round organic mircogreens. By leasing an old 1,260-square-foot liquor store at 2655 Broad Ave., the space has the potential to store up to 2,500 square feet of growing room.
2. Muni Bond Regulator Seeks Disclosure by Banks

WASHINGTON (AP) - Investment banks would be required to disclose contributions they make to municipal bond ballot drives under a proposal to be announced Monday by an industry regulator.
The move is the latest effort by the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, an industry self-regulatory body, to eliminate the appearance of improper relationships between banks that help sell municipal bonds and the government officials who decide to offer them.
