LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas' unemployment rate rose slightly in May, increasing from 7.2 percent in April to 7.3 percent in May, according to a report released Friday by the state Department of Workforce Services.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) – The Arkansas Department of Workforce Services says the state's unemployment rate crept up to 7.2 percent in October from 7.1 percent a month earlier.
The agency says Arkansas' civilian labor force dropped by 4,700 in October. Spokeswoman Kimberly Friedman notes that there are 10,300 more employed Arkansans this October than in October 2011.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) – The Arkansas unemployment rate for August was 7.3 percent, the same as the month before.
The Arkansas Workforce Services Department said Friday the civilian labor force decreased by 3,600 in the month and that 3,000 more people were unemployed in the month.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Unemployment in Arkansas reached 7.7 percent in September, an increase of two-tenths of a percentage point from August.
Department of Workforce Services spokeswoman Kimberly Friedman said Friday the higher jobless rate is related in part to layoffs and contractions in manufacturing. Friedman also noted a decline in temporary Census worker numbers and decreases in other sectors as contributing factors.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas' unemployment rate rose one-tenth of a percentage point to 7.7 percent last month but remains below the national rate of 9.7 percent.
The Arkansas Department of Workforce Services reported that six major industry sectors lost jobs, with trade, transportation and utilities experiencing the largest drop.
