1. Dishcrawl Heads to Broad Avenue in October -

Next month, a group of food-loving “Dishcrawlers” will stroll by the Broad Avenue Water Tower Pavilion and the neighborhood’s variety of storefronts on their way to three yet-to-be-announced restaurants, part of the series of regular gatherings of anyone eager to explore the city’s restaurant scene.

2. Dishcrawl Memphis Cooks Up Busy Schedule -

Like the diners who flock to its ever-expanding menu of opportunities to enjoy the culinary best of Memphis, Dishcrawl Memphis has a full plate in front of it.

On the heels of selling out a “Secret Supper” and three Dishcrawl events already this year, April will see Dishcrawl host its “Secret Supper 3.0” on April 1, followed by a “Best of the Bars” crawl on April 9. The secret supper event will take place at a location in East Memphis that hasn’t been disclosed yet, and the bar crawl will focus on a selection of pub food found in some of the bars Downtown.

3. More Foodie Fun -

The leadership of Memphis’ Dishcrawl events has put together a growing list of events, surprises, gatherings and more for 2014 that should whet the appetite of the city’s foodie community.

4. Dishcrawl Brings Supper Club to Memphis -

Memphis is getting an underground “supper club” next month, the latest on an extensive list of events held under the banner of Dishcrawl Memphis.

The supper club will launch Nov. 20 at a secret location. Like the rest of Dishcrawl’s local events – which include various meet-up type events centered around different kinds of food – the supper club location and the chef involved won’t be revealed to ticket holders until 48 hours before the event.

5. Downtown Slider Crawl Planned for Nov. 6 -

Another Memphis Dishcrawl event is on the way.

Next up is the Downtown Slider Crawl Nov. 6. Four Downtown chefs will create special slider-related items for participants to enjoy. The restaurants that participants will visit, as with all Dishcrawl events, will remain a secret until 48 hours beforehand.

6. ‘Culinary Adventure’ -

Kim Fuqua is always adding something new to the menu of events she’s planning for Memphis’ community of foodies who are hungry for fresh dishes and drinks to sample.

7. Battledish Pits Chefs for Foodie Love -

With so many events and gatherings for Memphis-area foodies being added at a steady clip, it might seem only natural that something for chefs gets added to the mix as well.

With that in mind, the international chef competition Battledish is coming to Downtown Memphis next month. For that event, six chefs in Memphis will compete for titles such as “most delicious” and “most creative” as well as for best modern, best cocktail and “most authentic.”

8. City’s Latest Dishcrawl Comes Downtown -

Memphians have proven to be hungry for the dish crawl concept – a way for foodies to explore multiple restaurants in one night.

Founded in 2010 by Tracey Lee of San Jose, Calif., Dishcrawl quickly spread nationwide to cities like New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, Montreal and Toronto. The initiative launched in Memphis earlier this year, with the first Memphis Dishcrawl in February in Cooper-Young selling out right away, necessitating the addition of a second night, which sold out too.
