4. Tennessee Bar Holds Hearings on Conservatorship Issues

NASHVILLE (AP) – The Tennessee Bar Association is planning public hearings across the state this fall to look for ways to improve the state's conservatorship law.
Conservatorship is meant to help vulnerable adults who are unable to care for themselves properly by allowing another person to manage their affairs. But recent reports have shown that the system does not always work as planned, with conservators sometimes taking advantage of the people they are meant to protect.

Scott C. Hennessy, president and chief executive officer of True Temper Sports, has joined the board of directors of Memphis Opportunity Scholarship Trust.
Hennessy will help direct the operations and growth of the nonprofit organization, which provides scholarships and tuition assistance. Hennessy also serves on the Board of Governors of the National Golf Foundation.
