1. May 18-24, 2018: This week in Memphis history -

1993: On the front page of The Daily News, The Memphis-Shelby County Sports Authority is readying its public relations campaign for an NFL team in Memphis. Memphis is competing with St. Louis; Baltimore; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Jacksonville, Florida. All of the cities except Memphis would eventually get an NFL franchise and the bid would be the city’s last effort at landing an NFL team.

2. Recruiter’s Career Twist -

3. Bigger Joins TriMetis as Business Development Specialist -

Lauren Bigger has joined preclinical services company TriMetis, a subsidiary of Memphis Bioworks Foundation, as a business development specialist. In her new role, Bigger will work with the operations and scientific teams to drive new projects for the TriMetis specialized laboratory and manage the sales and protocol review processes.

5. Hamilton, Warren Lead LSU Past Ole Miss 81-55 -

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) – It had been a long time since LSU enjoyed such a performance in its Southeastern Conference opener as it did Saturday against Ole Miss.

The Tigers led from start to finish in a dominating 81-55 victory against the Rebels on Saturday. The 26-point margin of victory was the largest for LSU in a league opener since its 92-66 victory against Florida in the 1980-81 campaign.
