1. Pinnacle Files $1.3M Permit For Midtown Bank Branch -

Nashville-based Pinnacle Financial Partners has applied for a $1.3 million building permit for its planned bank branch at the corner of Union Avenue and Rozelle Street.

Pinnacle is building the more than 4,100-square-foot branch with drive-thru service at 155 Rozelle on property that’s been vacant since the former Sean’s Cafe burned down in 2016. Because the project falls under the Midtown Overlay portion of the Unified Development Code, the bank had to seek a variance last year with the Board of Adjustment for the orientation of the drive-thru, an alternative streetscape layout and the use of a 20-foot setback.

4. Pinnacle Adds Professionals in Memphis, North Miss. -

Pinnacle Financial Partners has expanded its Memphis-area team again.

The bank has hired a trust adviser assistant and financial adviser assistant, both in the Quail Hollow office in Memphis. The bank also added a mortgage advisor assistant in its North Mississippi mortgage office.

6. Meritan’s Branch Named Among Top Nurses -

Cindy Branch, Meritan’s associate vice president for health services, has been selected to represent Tennessee as one of the nation’s top 50 home care and hospice nurses by the National Association for Home Care & Hospice and the Home Healthcare Nurses Association. Branch, a registered nurse, has oversight of Meritan’s nursing programs, including home health, private duty nursing and medical residential homes. She will be recognized at NACH’s annual meeting in October.

7. FBI Promotes McCall to Special Agent in Charge -

A. Todd McCall has been named special agent in charge of the FBI’s Memphis division, one of the bureau’s 56 field offices nationwide. McCall, who most recently served as chief of the digital forensics and analysis section in the Operational Technology Division, is now responsible for the management and oversight of more than 200 personnel and all investigative matters under the FBI’s jurisdiction spanning from Memphis to Cookeville, Tenn.

8. Crafton Joins Memphis Goodwill As Director of Marketing, PR -

Kimberly Crafton has joined Memphis Goodwill Industries as director of marketing and public relations.

Jill Uiberall Shanker has become a partner at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs LLP. Shanker is a member of Wyatt’s Corporate and Securities Team.

10. MAAR’s Wade Inducted Into Association of Executives Leadership Society -

Jules Wade, executive vice president of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors, has been inducted into the Dr. Almon R. Smith Association of Executives Leadership Society.

The National Association of Realtors inducted Wade in recognition of his contributions to the real estate industry and the association management profession.

11. Mays Rises to Public Relations Vice Chancellor Post at UT Health Science Center -

Sandra Mays has been appointed the first vice chancellor for public relations for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. This is the first time the statewide academic health institution has elevated the communications leadership position to the vice chancellor level with a direct report to the chancellor. Before joining UTHSC, Mays was the director of communications, marketing and public relations for the Memphis Housing Authority and its Division of Housing and Community Development.
