Radioactive iodine, or I-131, is given as a one-time injection and is an alternative to oral or topical medications, which only treat the symptoms of an overactive thyroid.

Memphis Veterinary Specialists will host free eye screening exams for certified service animals in May.
The exams are part of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists/StokesRx National Service Animal Eye Exam Event. Exams will be provided at MVS’ facility at 555 Trinity Creek Cove in Cordova.
