1. Cleaborn Conversion Keeps Eye On Residents, Developer Says -

Every brick is still in place at Cleaborn Homes. But the preparation for the coming demolition of one of the city’s last two large public housing projects is already under way.

The project manager for the federally funded conversion of Cleaborn to mixed-use, mixed-income development said he and the other developers are working on preparing the residents for the day they leave the development but hopefully not the neighborhood.

2. Developer Turns Vacant Warehouses Into Living Space -

A row of multi-colored duplexes tucked behind an old warehouse on Linden Avenue could be a textbook illustration for urban infill development and adaptive reuse.

The new duplexes are the first phase of housing that will come on the market with the Linden Yards development, which also will transform three brick-and-mortar warehouses on both sides of the street into living space. The 4.5-acre site is immediately west of and across the railroad tracks from Southwest Tennessee Community College.

3. CCRFC to Consider Linden Yards Request -

The Center City Revenue Finance Corp. today will consider a request from Linden Yards LLC to approve a closing fee payment in phases related to a payment-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) lease for the property at 680, 708 and 713 Linden Ave.

4. Events -

The Center City Revenue Finance Corp. will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Center City Commission office, 114 N. Main St. The agenda will include a request of Linden Yards LLC for approval of payment of closing fees in phases in connection with a PILOT agreement for property at 680, 708 and 713 Linden Ave. For more information, call Andy Kitsinger at 575-0540.
