(AP) – An audit of the Tennessee Department of Human Services found a lack of oversight led to at least $1.8 million in questionable spending last year from contractors operating programs to feed the needy. In 2013, the questioned costs were $4.3 million. And that is just in the small sample of agencies auditors reviewed.

5. Herbalife Plans to Expand SE Memphis Distribution Ctr. -

Los Angeles-based Herbalife Ltd. is planning to expand its distribution center in the Southeast Memphis industrial submarket, filing a $4.8 million building permit application for the 5025 Crumpler Road property. The nutrition-focused multilevel-marketing company leases the site, which is in Chickasaw Distribution Center, from Memphis Herb GP.
