“Dimensions of Spring,” which will open April 16 at 6 p.m. at T. Clifton Art at 2571 Broad Ave., will feature works by area artists Tim Andrews, Donna Blackard, Betsy Brackin, Bryan Blankenship, Jen Winfrey and Tom Clifton.

9. Broad Avenue Arts District Gets Boost With Rare Russian Exhibit -

An emerging arts district in the center of Memphis has received a rare taste of Russia in a gallery exhibition meant to promote awareness. Artist Yan Karpovich of St. Petersburg, Russia, opened his show titled “Dark Days/ White Nights” at T Clifton Art in the Broad Avenue Arts District earlier this month.

10. Broad Avenue Works to Become Biz Hot Spot -

While vacancy signs pop up like weeds in many commercial areas, they are gradually coming down in the Broad Avenue Arts District.

This area of old storefronts and warehouse space just to the east of Overton Park is experiencing renewal despite a prolonged recession. Businesses are relocating to the neighborhood, artists have been setting up studios there and people are coming out at night.

11. Artist Fusion Exhibit Set at T Clifton Art -

Artist Tom Clifton, who recently moved his studio to the Broad Avenue Arts District, is taking advantage of expanded gallery space to feature the work of six other artists.
