The Beethoven Club Music Series, featuring a performance by some of Memphis’ brightest young college classical musicians, continues Tuesday, April 24, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Benjamin L. 4. Republican Gubernatorial Debate Wednesday Will Air Statewide -

The Greater Memphis Chamber Chairman’s Circle announced Tuesday the organization will co-host the first statewide televised Tennessee gubernatorial debate for Republican candidates on Wednesday, April 18, at 7 p.m. at the Halloran Centre of The Orpheum Theatre, 225 S. Main St.

5. Memphis CBS Affiliate WREG Up for Sale -

WREG, the CBS affiliate in Memphis, is apparently up for sale.

Local TV LLC, the station’s owners, have announced internally they’re selling all their stations, according to a tweet from WREG-TV anchor Richard Ransom. “Anyone want to buy a TV station?” he added.

6. Kindness Revolution Hosts Memphis Celebration -

Feb. 14-20 is Random Acts of Kindness Week, and local do-gooders will be honored for their compassionate ways during the Memphis Celebration of Kindness, set to take place Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00 at Le Pavillon, 1052 Brookfield Road.

7. Peabody Suicide Sparks Queries From Twitterers to Traditional News Outlets -

A man walked onto the Plantation Roof of The Peabody hotel Monday afternoon and climbed over the concrete borders and railing. After some brief deliberation while an onlooker made a hurried call to police, the man jumped to his death.
