High-profile media conference to land in Memphis

Four months from now, a group of celebrities from the news and entertainment worlds will flock to Memphis for a national conference on the media, an event that's expected to bring up to 3,000 people to the city.

Crone Named Fellow of Memphis Bar Foundation

Alan Crone, attorney and co-founder of Crone & Mason PLC, has been named a fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation. The appointment was made at the annual joint meeting of the Memphis Bar Association and its charitable arm, the Memphis Bar Foundation, Sept. 11. A panel of United Nations-sponsored educators from Afghanistan, El Salvador, India and Liberia will participate in a panel discussion, "The Education of Girls in the Developing World," today at 4 p.m. in the McCallum Ballroom of the Bryan Campus Life Center on the Rhodes College campus, 2000 N.
