Sports marketing entity launches new name, Web site
A mention of the words "bottle rocket" brings to mind children celebrating Independence Day with empty soda bottles, matches and a bag full of fireworks. The bottle rocket is placed in the bottle and lit, and the children stand back to watch in awe as the rocket takes off with great force and soars upward until it erupts with a bang.
When Jennifer Pierotti sent her 10-year-old daughter off to camp one summer, she added something extra among the usual items like clothes, toothbrush and a flashlight. And that summer, her daughter didn't have to worry about boredom or homesickness at camp.
The Shelby County Commission appointed Scott Peatross to the position of public administrator in Shelby County Probate Court. Peatross is a partner in the law firm of Bateman Gibson LLC. He graduated from Rhodes College and Tulane Law School.
