Med reduces gaping deficit but still has mountain to climb

At the beginning of the year, the Regional Medical Center at Memphis had a more than $20 million deficit, but hospital officials now predict that at the end of the current budget year the deficit will be about $4 million. The Med's fiscal year ends June 30.

St. Jude Renovates Offices for 60 Software Developers

160 N. Parkway, Memphis, TN 38105, Permit Cost: $1.5 million -
Renovation of a 15,000-square-foot, one-story building across North Parkway from the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital main campus. The building will house offices for 60 St. Jude software developers. Construction is slated to begin in June and finish in late July.
