Civil Rights Game strikes chord in Redbirds founder
As a youth in Memphis in the 1950s and 1960s, Redbirds founder Dean Jernigan enjoyed watching baseball games at the former Russwood Park on Union Avenue.
In "Happy Feet," Village Roadshow's computer-animated feature that's topped the box office charts since opening three weeks ago, an emperor penguin named Memphis has a familiar Southern drawl and woos his mate with a rendition of "Heartbreak Hotel."
