The critical blood shortage Lifeblood experienced during the first few weeks of January has ended. Representatives of Lifeblood sounded the alarm early this month when the regional blood center's supply reached near-critical levels of type O blood - which is compatible with all other blood types.
Greg Bethel has been named vice president of the board of directors of the Commission on Missing & Exploited Children (COMEC). Bethel is the director of human resources for the Jackson-Madison County School System in Jackson, Tenn. He's been on the board of directors for two years.
