Shelby County Schools leaders will hold their third community forum Thursday, May 22, on the district’s goal of having 80 percent of its graduates ready for college or career by 2025.
And schools leaders have expanded the forum to include comments on potentially extending the three-year contract of superintendent Dorsey Hopson.
So far, the 80 percent goal isn’t a plan. The purpose of the hearings is to hear from the public on the goals and flesh out a plan for reaching it.
The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. at the Shelby County Schools auditorium, 160 S. Hollywood St.
