The Downtown Alive concert series continues Thursday, May 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Court Square. Earl “The Pearl” Banks and The Memphis Dawls will perform. The free series, produced by the Downtown Memphis Commission and Memphis Music Foundation, continues Thursdays through June 26. Visit downtownmemphis.com for a schedule.

Cooper Young Night Out will be held Thursday, May 1, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at businesses in the Cooper-Young neighborhood. Visit cooperyoung.biz for a list of activities.

Overton Square will hold a Thursdays Squared concert Thursday, May 1, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the Tower Courtyard at Trimble Place and Florence Street. Ghost Town Blues Band and Mighty Souls Brass Band will perform. The series continues through Aug. 28. Visit thursdayssquared.com for a schedule.

Dixon Gallery and Gardens will host Food Truck Friday on May 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Dixon, 4339 Park Ave. Admission to the gardens is free during food truck hours. The lunch event continues Fridays through September. Visit dixon.org for a schedule.
