Network of Memphis will meet Monday, Feb. 3, at 5:30 p.m. at Dixie Cafe, 4699 Poplar Ave. The women’s networking organization will host Mark Dean, executive director and CEO of Volunteer Mid-South. RSVP at networkmemphis.org by Friday, Jan. 31, at noon.

Memphis Botanic Garden will host the Incognito Art Gala and Silent Auction Friday, Jan. 31, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at MBG, 750 Cherry Road. Painted Planet Artspace will host its grand reopening Friday, Jan. 31, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the gallery, 1015 S. Cooper St. The event will spotlight Anne Enoch’s “Anne’s World” show and live music by The Delta Project. Cost is free.

The University of Memphis will host its Black History Month opening ceremony and presentation of the Authur S. Holmon Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. James L. Memphis Symphony Orchestra will present Opus One with Big Star Friday, Jan. 31, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at New Daisy Theatre, 330 Beale St. Jody Stephens, the last surviving original member, will join the symphony for a Big Star salute. Tickets are $25. Visit memphissymphony.org.
