The Mid-South Sports and Boat Show will be held Friday, Feb. 14, through Sunday, Feb. 16, at Agricenter International, 7777 Walnut Grove Road. The event will include boat and tackle vendors, and seminars for both children and adults. Visit midsouthboatshow.com for hours and ticket prices.

Memphis Symphony Orchestra and Shelby County Schools will host the Young People’s Concert Friday, Feb. 14, at 10 a.m. at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts, 255 N. Main St. The concert is the culmination of educational curriculum for third- through sixth-graders. Tickets are open to the public for $5. Visit memphissymphony.org.

Tennessee Shakespeare Company will hold The Music of the Night, its fifth annual Valentine’s gala, Friday, Feb. 14, at 6 p.m. at the Germantown Performing Arts Center, 1801 Exeter Road. Friends of the Germantown Animal Shelter will host its second annual silent auction benefiting the shelter Saturday, Feb. 15, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Pickering Center, 7771 Poplar Pike.
