The National Hispanic Professional Organization, Memphis chapter will meet Thursday, Feb. 13, at noon at the Hilton Memphis, 939 Ridge Lake Blvd. Rafael Durand, director of human resources at International Paper, will speak. Rhodes College will host Aram Goudsouzian for a Communities in Conversation lecture titled “Down to the Crossroads: Civil Rights, Black Power and the Meredith March Against Fear,” Thursday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m. in the McCallum Ballroom of the Bryan Campus Life Center on campus, 2000 North Parkway. Memphis Symphony Orchestra and Shelby County Schools will host the Young People’s Concert Friday, Feb. 14, at 10 a.m. at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts, 255 N. Tennessee Shakespeare Company will hold The Music of the Night, its fifth annual Valentine’s gala, Friday, Feb. 14, at 6 p.m. at the Germantown Performing Arts Center, 1801 Exeter Road.
