The University of Tennessee Health Science Center will host Line Dancing for BLUES, in recognition of Infant Mortality Awareness Month, on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the student alumni center, 800 Madison Ave. The event will include a line dance-a-thon, and information on infant mortality and the BLUES Project. The Tennessee Department of Transportation will host a public hearing on the proposed Kirby-Whitten Parkway (Shelby Farms Parkway) project Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Agricenter International, 7777 Walnut Grove Road. Rhodes College Memphis Center for Lifelong Learning will host a class called “Elvis Presley and America” on Tuesdays, Sept. 24 through Oct. 22, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Rhodes, 2000 North Parkway. The course will explore what Presley’s life and career tell about U.S. history in the 20th and 21st centuries. Tuition is $150. Call 843-3965.

Memphis Botanic Garden will host Siptember, a Tuesdays on the Terrace wine tasting, Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the garden, 750 Cherry Road. Tickets are $25 for members and $35 for nonmembers; reservations are required. Visit memphisbotanicgarden.com.

Healthy Memphis Common Table, Healthy Shelby and Qsource will host Care About Your Care on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in The University of Memphis Fogelman Executive Center, 330 Innovation Drive. The event focuses on how health care professionals can work together to improve care transitions to reduce avoidable hospital readmissions. Cost is free; lunch will be provided.
