The 55th AutoZone Liberty Bowl, featuring the Mississippi State Bulldogs and Rice University Owls, will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 3 p.m. at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium, 335 S. Hollywood St. Country vocal group Diamond Rio will perform at halftime. Visit autozonelibertybowl.org.

First Cumberland Presbyterian Church will host New Year’s Eve at First Church Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the church, 8161 Germantown Road in Olive Branch. WKNO/Channel 10 will air a live, 90-minute broadcast from Beale Street on New Year’s Eve starting Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 11 p.m. The broadcast will include music and the traditional countdown to the Hard Rock Guitar Drop at midnight. Visit wkno.org.

T.O. Fuller State Park will host its first hike of the year Wednesday, Jan. 1, at 9:30 a.m., starting at the visitors center, 1500 Mitchell Road. Memphis Zoo will hold Happy Zoo Year ice-skating parties Thursday, Jan. 2, through Saturday, Jan. 4, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the zoo, 2000 Prentiss Place.
