WKNO will host March on Washington online chats Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the WKNO Digital Media Center, 7151 Cherry Farms Road. The event will include screenings of the PBS documentary “The March” as well as online chats and hosted discussions about the civil rights movement. The Rotary Club of Memphis East will meet Wednesday, Aug. 28, at noon at The Racquet Club of Memphis, 5111 Sanderlin Ave. Greg Gonzales, commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions, will speak. Cost is $17. RSVP to Lee Hughes at lmhughes@bellsouth.net.

Kiwanis Club of Memphis will meet Wednesday, Aug. 28, from noon to 1 p.m. at The University Club of Memphis, 1346 Central Ave. Kat Gordon, owner of Muddy’s Bake Shop, will speak. Cost is $18 for nonmembers.

The National Civil Rights Museum will present the Singing the Dream: The March on Washington at 50 concert Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 4 p.m. in the museum courtyard, 450 Mulberry St. Performers include “American Idol” contestants Alexis Grace, Keia Johnson and Trump Tight. Shelby County Trustee David Lenoir will host a Shelby County Real Estate Road Show event Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Hickory Hill Community Center, 3910 Ridgeway Road. Attendees will learn about the Shelby County Land Bank and tax sale, and can provide feedback on the process of divesting county-owned properties. Cost is free; advance registration is encouraged. Sales and Marketing Society of the Mid-South will host a roundtable with Scott Lawyer, director of the Master of Business Administration program at Christian Brothers University, Thursday, Aug. 29, at 7:30 a.m. at Cheffie’s Cafe, 483 High Point Terrace.
