LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) – A proposed ballot measure about casinos remains tied up in court just weeks before early voting begins in Arkansas.

The state Supreme Court hasn't said when it will weigh in on two pending lawsuits about a professional poker player's bid to win exclusive rights to operate casinos in Arkansas.

Early voting begins Oct. 22 ahead of the Nov. 6 election.

A lawyer for professional poker player Nancy Todd told the high court last month that the state was wrong to reject her proposal, which would give her the right to operate casinos in four counties.

The secretary of state's office said Todd's proposed measure didn't inform voters it would repeal a law allowing a Hot Springs horse track and a West Memphis dog track to operate electronic "games of skill."
