The Orphanos Foundation will hold its fifth annual golf fundraiser Monday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Spring Creek Ranch, 149 Chinquapin Drive. Pilot Steve Scheibner will speak at the event. Cost is $350 per person. Email wayne@orphanos.org or call 458-9500 for details and to register.

The Downtown Memphis Commission design review board will hold a special-called public meeting Wednesday, May 23, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the DMC conference room, 114 N. Main St. DRB members and staff will discuss current drafts of the Downtown Memphis design guidelines and sign code.

A Veterans Outreach program to help veterans and families learn about eligible benefits and community resources will be held Wednesday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Memphis Pentecostal Assembly, 8914 E. Shelby Drive. Sponsors include federal, state, local and nonprofit organizations.
