The Memphis Bar Association will accept applications for the 2012 High School Summer Law Intern Program through Friday, March 30. Students will work at least 60 hours June 4-29 and will receive a $500 stipend at the completion of the program. Interns will get experience at private firms, corporate law divisions and government law offices.

The West Tennessee Historical Society will meet Monday, April 2, at 7 p.m. in the Wunderlich Auditorium on the Memphis University School campus, 6191 Park Ave. The meeting will trace the hunt for James Earl Ray starting with the morning of April 3, 1968, when Martin Luther King Jr. arrived in Memphis.
