The Memphis Bar Association will accept applications for the 2012 High School Summer Law Intern Program through Friday, March 23. Students will work at least 60 hours June 4-29 and will receive a $500 stipend at the completion of the program. Visible Music College will host its fifth annual pancake breakfast Saturday, March 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Elliott’s Restaurant, 16 S. Second St. The event will feature live music, and all proceeds will benefit the college’s music business department. Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for students and children. The fourth annual Arts of March will be held Saturday, March 24, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 794 S. Cooper St. Proceeds will benefit public art and beautification projects in the Cooper-Young neighborhood. The event will include live music, beer, wine and food from restaurants in the neighborhood. The Tennessee Solar Institute will offer a free course in the basics of solar installation and photovoltaic technology Monday, March 26, through Friday, March 30, at the University of Memphis Fogelman Conference Center, 330 Innovation Drive. The 40-hour course will be held each day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and lunch will be provided. At the conclusion of the course, an entry-level certificate of knowledge exam will be given.
