MEMPHIS (AP) – Coach Justin Fuente has filled out his Tigers' offensive staff by hiring Darrell Dickey away from Texas State as his offensive coordinator, bringing him back to Memphis.

Fuente announced the move Wednesday.

Dickey was offensive coordinator at Memphis from 1987 through 1989 when the Tigers beat Alabama in 1987 and Florida in 1988. Dickey, who will also coach running backs, has been offensive coordinator at UTEP, SMU, Utah State and New Mexico and Texas State last year. Dickey was head coach at North Texas State from 1998 to 2006.

Holman Wiggins will move from coaching running backs to receivers. Fuente hired Brad Cornelsen as his quarterbacks coach on Tuesday. Cornelsen had spent the past three seasons as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Northeastern State.
