Myra Gammon has joined Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare as a business development account manager for Community Care Associates. In her new role, Gammon is responsible for the development and management of the Occupational Health and Wellness Services program.
Education and work experience: Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee at Martin; more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience, ranging from multimedia advertising to pharmaceutical direct to consumer and direct to physician marketing.
Family: Single. Owner of Sophie, a black-and-tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

What are your goals in your new position? With the cost of employee benefits on the rise, it can be challenging to find an opportunity to offset those expenses. However, studies have shown that implementing an employee wellness program has proven to be one such opportunity. No matter how large or small a company, having an employee wellness program is a smart investment for both your company and employees. Working for a leader in health care, I am excited about partnering with regional and national business leaders to help improve employee quality of care and contribute to better overall health in our region.
What do you consider your greatest accomplishment? Personally: completing the Marine Corps marathon; career: promotion with Eli Lilly & Co. from field sales to a global marketing position.
What do you most enjoy about your work? Being a part of a team that is committed to improving how health care is delivered to our community in the midst of constant change.
If you could give one piece of advice to young people, what would it be? Stay focused on the job at hand today and don’t worry about tomorrow. A job done well today will bring you the desired career choices in the future.
Christopher Owens has joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis as director of community development. Owens has served in fundraising roles at several organizations, including the Church Health Center and the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. Rebecca Fowler has joined Boys & Girls Clubs as development specialist. Fowler previously worked at the Tennessee Hospitality Association, where she was responsible for events, member services and development of the Tennessee Hospitality Education Foundation.

Dr. Janet Laura Colli has joined the UT Medical Group Inc. department of urology and been named associate professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Colli is the Mid-South’s only fellowship-trained urologic robotic surgeon.

Southwest Tennessee Community College has won three Medallion Awards at the National Conference for Marketing and Public Relations District 2 Conference for outstanding achievement in marketing communications. The school won silver awards in the print publications – class schedule and print publications – student handbook categories; it won bronze in advertising – radio advertising, public service announcement series.
