The Peabody hotel will host a Thanksgiving Day brunch Thursday, Nov. 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the mezzanine at the hotel, 149 Union Ave. Cost is $55 for adults and $20 for children. WinterArts 2011 will hold a gala reception Friday, Nov. 25, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Shops of Saddle Creek, 2055 West St. The festivities will mark the opening of the artists’ market. The Mid-South Ice House will host Have a White Christmas at the Ice House – where guests can skate with Santa, meet a polar bear, build a snowman and more – Friday, Nov. 25, through Dec. 24 at the Mid-South Ice House, 10705 Ridgeway Industrial Road.
