The University of Memphis will hold a public information session for its Back on Track program Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Michael D. Rose Theatre on campus. The program is designed for students, particularly adults who didn’t graduate, to return to school and complete their degrees. For more information, call 678-1237.

Rhodes College will host a lecture by Dr. Jennifer Sciubba, Mellon Environmental fellow in the Department of International Studies at Rhodes, Monday at 7 p.m. in the Blount Auditorium of Buckman Hall. Sciubba will discuss “The Future Faces of War: Population and National Security.” The lecture is free and open to the public.

The Memphis Rotary Club will meet Tuesday at noon at the University Club of Memphis, 1346 Central Ave. Ned Canty, general director of Opera Memphis, will speak. Cost is $18 per person. Advanced reservations are required. For reservations, e-mail Taylor Hughes at taylor@memphisrotary.org.

The Memphis Claims Association will meet Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Select Memphis East, 5795 Poplar Ave. Cost is $25 for members and $35 for guests.

The Memphis Botanic Garden will host its Tuesdays on the Terrace Wine Tasting Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Garden, 750 Cherry Road. Attendees will celebrate Fat Tuesday with Dixieland jazz, wine, and New Orleans cuisine. Cost is $25 for members and $35 for nonmembers. For more information, call 636-4131.

MPACT Memphis will meet for a programs and events planning session Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at MPACT Memphis, 506 S. Main St., suite 101. For more information, visit www.mpactmemphis.org.

The Alliance for Nonprofit Excellence will hold a workshop Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to noon at its office, 5100 Poplar Ave., suite 502. Participants will gain a better understanding of their role and responsibilities as the executive director and begin to develop strategies for success.
