Stephen Hegdale Named General Manager at BarDett

Stephen Hegdale has been named general manger of BarDett, dba A.S. Barboro, a Memphis-based distributor of Miller and Coors beer with ties to Nashville’s Det Distributing Co.

As a small child, I thought I would someday be an actor.

How did you get started in the beer business?
As a driver helper riding on trucks, during summer vacation from college.
What led you to join BarDett as general manager?
I was the sales manager for Det Distributing Co. in Nashville for several years, so they asked me if I was interested in this opportunity. It was a great fit, and I am excited to be given the opportunity.
What will your role as general manager entail?
Complete oversight for the entire operation, supervision of 132 full-time employees.
What do you consider your greatest professional accomplishments?
Seeing my employees become successful.
What do you most enjoy about your work?
Working with people, winning, performing better than the competition.
