The New Ballet Ensemble & School will present “Nut ReMix” Friday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 11, at 2:30 p.m. at the Germantown Performing Arts Centre, 1801 Exeter Road. “Nut ReMix” is Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” reconfigured with ballet, hip-hop, flamenco and African dance. The Memphis Symphony Orchestra and the Orphanos Foundation will present Handel’s “Messiah” Friday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m. at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts, 255 N.
