The Memphis Bar Association Young Lawyers Division will present “Legal Ethics in the Movies” with speaker Mike McLaren of Black McLaren Jones Ryland & Griffee PC and special guest U.S. Magistrate Judge Diane Vescovo Dec. 28 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the auditorium at Memphis Bioworks Foundation, 20 Dudley St. For more information or to register, visit www.memphisbar.org.

Celtic Crossing will hold a New Year’s Eve Midnight Masquerade party Dec. 31 at the restaurant, 903 S. Cooper St. DJ Tree will provide entertainment starting at 10 p.m. and the party will continue until 3 a.m. The party will benefit the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County. Attendees can choose from three price levels: $45 per person, which includes table seating, champagne and three-course dinner; $40 per couple, which includes table seating, appetizers and champagne; and $5, which includes entry and standard bar service.
