NASHVILLE (AP) – The Internal Revenue Service in Nashville has $2.1 million in tax refund checks it has been unable to deliver to Tennesseans.

The IRS said in a news release Wednesday that the checks average $1,182 and could not be delivered because of mailing address errors. The checks belong to 1,779 filers.

Taxpayers may check the list by using the "Where's My Refund" tool on IRS.gov. They also can call (800) 829-1954.
