UT’s Hathaway Named To Ruth Neil Murry Endowed Chair

Dr. Donna Hathaway has been named to the Ruth Neil Murry Endowed Chair in Nursing at the University of Tennessee College of Nursing.
Hathaway is dean and a professor at the College of Nursing, which she joined in 1984 as an assistant professor. During her time at UT she has served as director of clinical transplant research and as director of the doctorate program.
She is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and has worked on several National Institutes of Health review panels and workgroups. She also is a member of the Robert Wood Johnson Nurse Executive Fellow 2002 Cohort.
Dr. Ann Marie Wranovix has been honored with the Distinguished Lasallian Educator Award by Christian Brothers University. Wranovix was honored for her service to CBU and its students for the past 24 years. She is an English professor.
Tara “Tee” Meeks has been promoted from senior vice president of operations to chief administrative officer at Waddell and Associates. She started her career in the financial services industry in 1982 with Union Planters Bank, where she eventually served as vice president and manager of her division. She joined Charles Schwab & Co. in 1992 and joined Waddell and Associates from First Tennessee Discount Brokerage in 1996.
Laurel Amatangelo has joined Signature Advertising & Marketing Solutions as a multimedia specialist. Amatangelo received her bachelor of science degree in graphic design from California State University at Sacramento.
Mark Amrein has been promoted to associate campus director at the University of Phoenix-Memphis. Amrein will be responsible for overseeing campus operations. He previously held the position of director of student services at the Raleigh, N.C., campus.
Agape Child & Family Services Inc. has been accredited by the Council on Accreditation. The accreditation is designed to identify providers that have set high performance standards and have made a commitment to deliver the highest quality services.
Phiengmany “Many” Vongphrachanh has joined Askew Hargraves Harcourt & Associates Inc. as HVAC/plumbing designer/CAD technician. Vongphrachanh has more than 20 years of experience in all types of commercial, industrial and municipal engineering.
Angela Blakely has joined BenchMark at Southwind LLC Realtors. Blankley will specialize in residential properties in the Mid-South.
The Communications & Marketing Department at Christian Brothers University has won three advertising and marketing awards at the 2009 Tennessee College Public Relations Association Spring Conference. The awards include a gold in the radio ad category, a silver in the reports category and a silver in the overall promotional campaign category.
Husch Blackwell Sanders LLP has been recognized by Intellectual Property Today as one of the top trademark law firms in the country. The Memphis firm took the seventh spot among almost 300 firms throughout the country.
Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries’ West Tennessee division has awarded several special awards for extraordinary service to the organization. Tonja Jackson and Melva Mays each received an Award of Outstanding Recognition for their commitment to Evergreen and the community. Lakesha Heard has received the Extra Mile Award and Maxine White received the Employee of the Year Award.
Valerie Prigg has joined Keller Williams Realty. Prigg obtained her real estate license in 2000 and previously worked at Prudential Collins Maury Inc.
