The Memphis hotel market is being classified as somewhat sluggish in 2013 because of slower than anticipated convention traffic, but hotels such as the Memphis Marriott East and Downtown’s Madison Hotel reported busier second halves of the year.

Ratings Agencies Weigh In on City’s Bonds

Beale Street will host the AutoZone Liberty Bowl parade Monday, Dec. 30, at 3 p.m. on Beale, followed by the Bash on Beale pep rally at 5 p.m. in Handy Park. The parade will include floats, and high school and university marching bands. Both events are free. Visit autozonelibertybowl.org.
