It lies south of the “royal city” of Blois, headquarters of Joan of Arc in 1429, and is therefore south of the Loire River, a sort of gateway to the Loire chateau country. The village is tiny and charming, and there’s a magnificent chateau, famous for its hunting dogs and a whole, startling room filled with stag antlers.
