CORRECTION: Shelby County Board of Commissioners member J.W. Gibson is not a partner in Fair Land LLC, the Mid-South Fairgrounds development company developer Henry Turley talked about at the March 12 meeting of the Memphis Kiwanis Club. Gibson was originally part of the effort, Turley said, until a county attorney's opinion held it would be a conflict of interest for Gibson to be involved because parts of the fairgrounds are co-owned by Shelby County government. The Daily News regrets the error.
